DigiKey Electronics is seeking a Sr. Analyst, FP&A to drive financial insight and strategic planning across Trade Compliance and Logistics.

The Sr. Analyst, FP&A plays a critical role in driving financial insight, operational decision support, and strategic planning across the organization. This role is responsible for developing financial forecasts, annual budgets, financial models, and analytical reporting that influence business performance decisions. This analyst will primarily support the Trade Compliance and Logistics organizations, with a focused emphasis on tariff management, global trade programs, and logistics cost optimization. The Sr. Analyst partners closely with cross‑functional leaders to analyze trends, assess risks, and identify opportunities within Trade Compliance and Logistics, including supporting strategies to minimize tariff exposure, optimize customs programs, and improve overall supply chain cost efficiency. This role is based in Thief River Falls or Bloomington, Minnesota, and will require a minimum of two days per week in the office and be available for projects in the office as needed. Travel required, at times, domestically and internationally.
Develop, refine, and maintain forecasting models for assigned areas of the business and align with corporate plan, including logistics spend, duties, and tariff‑related costs. Prepare monthly financial outlooks, highlighting risks, opportunities, and required corrective actions. Analyze historical results, and trends, to improve forecast accuracy and enhance planning assumptions.
Establish, measure, and report financial KPIs for leadership, including executives. Provide in‑depth variance analysis of actual vs. budget/forecast performance and identify root causes. Deliver monthly reporting packages, dashboards, and margin analysis by product, customer, and business segment. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior management to improve financial and operational performance.
Perform detailed expenditure reviews to identify trends, cost‑saving opportunities, and areas requiring tighter controls, with a focus on logistics spend, tariffs, and customs‑related costs. Partner with assigned business units to evaluate margin drivers, inventory levels, and operational efficiencies. Support job costing, estimating, and product cost reviews in collaboration with Operations and Accounting. Lead or support process improvement initiatives to streamline reporting and enhance data accuracy.
Build financial models to evaluate business cases, investments, pricing changes, and strategic initiatives. Participate in cross‑functional project teams focused on systems, process improvements, and operational initiatives.
Partner with accounting to ensure reporting accuracy. Preparation of presentations for business owners, Director, Finance, and other senior leadership. Continuous review for improvement in financial processes and tools. Assist with reviewing customer or supplier contracts as needed. Participate in system testing, upgrades, or implementation projects. Support the creation of documentation, SOPs, and financial process training. Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The base pay range for this position is: $80,000 to $117,500. Many factors influence the determination of base pay within a range, including the candidate’s work experience in related roles; the candidate’s knowledge, skills, capabilities, and performance; the relative pay of other DigiKey employees in similar roles; and the budget available for the position.
