Job summary

DigiKey Electronics is offering a Total Rewards internship within its HR team. As an Intern you will participate in various aspects of the department and complete a capstone project over the internship term.

You will gain exposure to compensation, market benchmarking, and rewards program design while developing data analysis, project management, and business communications skills under mentorship. The internship is hybrid or onsite, with housing provided in some bases.

Position Overview:

As a DigiKey Intern, you will participate in various aspects of the DigiKey department of which you are assigned. You will work alongside team members and have the opportunity to complete a capstone project which you’ll work on throughout the internship.

Housing:

Local campus housing (private room, private bath, and shared living space) is provided for interns selecting Thief River Falls as their internship home base. We are unable to provide housing for Bloomington-based internships.

Location / Role:

This is a hybrid or essential onsite role, which will require onsite attendance.

Responsibilities:

Are you interested in human resources, compensation, and data analysis? Join our Total Rewards team for a hands-on internship experience where you will gain exposure to real-world compensation and rewards practices while contributing to meaningful HR initiatives.

• Support a variety of Total Rewards and Human Resources initiatives through research, analysis, data validation, and project support activities.
• Assist with maintaining and organizing compensation and rewards-related information and documentation.
• Contribute to the development of reports, presentations, and recommendations that support business and HR decision-making.
• Participate in ongoing projects and team initiatives, collaborating with Total Rewards and HR professionals to advance key priorities.
• Gain exposure to a broad range of total rewards practices while supporting day-to-day department activities and special projects.

What We're Looking For:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Data Analytics, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and confidentiality.
• Ability to stay organized, manage competing priorities, and contribute effectively across multiple concurrent projects and assignments.
• Demonstrated curiosity, initiative, and willingness to learn in a collaborative team environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft 365 applications.

Physical Requirements:

Generally, spend the workday sitting at a workstation and operating computer devices, such as, but not limited to keyboard, mouse, and screen. Generally, spend the workday performing repetitive motions that involve or affect the hands, head, and other parts of your body.

Compensation:

Compensation: The base pay range for this position is determined based on a candidate’s relevant experience and their most recently completed year of undergraduate education and/or the graduate program (Masters/PhD) they are pursuing.

For undergraduate applicants, the base pay range is $21.00 to $23.00.

For graduate applicants, the base pay rate is $26.00 for applicants pursuing a Masters degree and $29.00 for those pursuing a PhD.
