Trinity Capital Inc., a leading provider of diversified financial solutions to growth-stage companies, is looking for an experienced Senior Analyst, Credit – Tech Lending to join its team in Phoenix, AZ.

Job Description

This position offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to a company focused on growth and long-term value creation for its investors. The Senior Analyst, Credit will play a key role in the due diligence process and in supporting financing transactions.

This full-time role reports to the Managing Director and is based on-site at our headquarters in Downtown Phoenix, AZ.

Strong communication skills are essential, as the role involves collaboration with the Origination team and presenting to the Trinity Investment Committee. The position provides exposure to leading venture capital investors and emerging growth companies.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Review submitted data from prospective portfolio companies and coordinate with the Origination team and company management to address gaps.
  2. Analyze financial data, identify key assumptions and trends, and note inconsistencies.
  3. Assess new opportunities, communicate recommendations, and assist in transaction structuring.
  4. Research industry drivers and evaluate their impact on business plans.
  5. Conduct detailed analyses of financial results, forecasts, and other relevant information.
  6. Participate in due diligence activities, including management calls and site visits.
  7. Prepare and present investment committee materials clearly and concisely.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, preferably Finance.
  • At least three (3) years of relevant industry experience (e.g., investment banking, accounting, consulting).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
  • Understanding of financial statements: income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow.
  • Knowledge of business operations across various functions.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or MS in Finance.
  • Experience with legal negotiations and contracting.
  • Knowledge of venture equity terms and capital structures.
  • Familiarity with equipment leasing transactions.

Additional desirable traits include a strong personal network of entrepreneurs, bankers, and sponsors, and experience with distressed financing.
