Role Snapshot

We are seeking a Senior Analyst, AI Integration and Operations Efficiency to help identify, develop, and implement practical AI solutions that improve how teams work across the organization.

This role sits at the intersection of business operations, data, and emerging technology. Rather than focusing solely on building models or writing code, the Senior Analyst will work directly with business teams to understand how work gets done today, identify opportunities for improvement, and translate that knowledge into scalable AI-enabled processes, automations, and tools.

The ideal candidate is hands‑on with AI technology, naturally curious about business processes, and comfortable working with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders. This person should understand that successful AI implementation starts with understanding the business problem, the underlying data, and the people who use the process every day.

About the Opportunity

The Senior Analyst will partner with teams across procurement, logistics, distribution, analytics, finance, and other business functions to identify opportunities where AI, automation, and better use of data can improve efficiency and decision-making.

A key part of the role will be capturing institutional knowledge — including workflows, business rules, data structures, SQL queries, processes, and decision logic — and organizing that information so it can support AI-enabled solutions.

This is not a traditional data analyst role and is not focused on general use of conversational AI tools. We are looking for someone who has experimented with and implemented AI in practical business or technical environments, including areas such as AI-assisted coding, connectors, automations, agents, workflows, or other emerging AI capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with cross‑functional teams to understand existing workflows, business processes, pain points, and opportunities for improvement.
• Capture and organize institutional and domain knowledge, including business logic, data structures, SQL queries, process documentation, and decision frameworks, into structured and AI-consumable resources.
• Design and implement AI-enabled solutions as scalable, maintainable business processes rather than isolated or one‑time solutions.
• Identify opportunities to use AI, automation, and analytics to improve operational efficiency, forecasting, decision‑making, and cost management.
• Evaluate emerging AI tools, platforms, connectors, automation technologies, and agentic workflows to determine their potential application within the organization.
• Stay current on developments across the AI ecosystem beyond mainstream conversational tools and recommend technologies that can solve specific business problems.
• Work with business users to translate ideas and operational challenges into practical AI-enabled solutions.
• Train and mentor employees on effective AI usage, including leading hands‑on sessions and helping teams become more self‑sufficient with available tools.
• Analyze operational and business data to ensure underlying variables, relationships, objectives, and business requirements are clearly understood before implementing technology solutions.
• Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and performance measures to evaluate the effectiveness and business impact of AI initiatives.
• Support presentations of findings, recommendations, and project updates to leadership.
• Assist with vendor coordination, budget tracking, project documentation, and implementation activities related to AI initiatives.
• Provide day‑to‑day guidance and oversight to junior team members, reviewing work and supporting their professional and technical development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field preferred.
• 2+ years of professional experience in data analysis, business analytics, technology implementation, AI implementation, process improvement, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated hands‑on experience using AI beyond basic conversational or general-purpose chat tools.
• Experience working with AI coding tools, connectors, workflow automation, APIs, agentic workflows, or similar technologies.
• Working knowledge of SQL with the ability to understand table relationships, queries, data structures, and data warehouse environments.
• Experience with data visualization and business intelligence platforms such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to understand the purpose behind a process, metric, or business decision — not simply its technical implementation.
• Strong analytical and critical‑thinking skills with the ability to break down complex business problems and identify practical solutions.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust across technical and non‑technical teams.
• Ability to translate technical concepts into clear business language and explain AI capabilities and limitations to non‑technical audiences.
• Comfortable presenting findings, recommendations, and project updates to leadership.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership of initiatives, and manage responsibilities with limited supervision.

Preferred Experience

• Python or similar programming/scripting experience.
• Experience implementing AI-enabled forecasting, modeling, or decision‑support solutions with dynamic or adjustable variables.
• Experience developing automations, AI agents, connected workflows, or other multi‑step AI solutions.
• Familiarity with process mapping, workflow documentation, and change management associated with implementing new technologies.
• Experience mentoring colleagues, conducting training sessions, or leading workshops.
• GitHub repository, portfolio, or examples of hands‑on AI, automation, analytics, or development projects.
• Experience within food service, supply chain, logistics, distribution, finance, procurement, or another operationally complex environment.
• Familiarity with responsible AI practices, governance, data privacy, and the ethical use of AI within business environments.
