Senior Analyst, AI Integration and Operations Efficiency

Position Summary

The Senior Analyst, AI Integration and Operations Efficiency works across procurement, logistics, distribution, Business Insights & Analytics, and finance to identify opportunities where artificial intelligence can improve operational efficiency, decision-making, and business processes.

This role serves as a bridge between business teams and emerging AI technologies. The successful candidate will build strong relationships across departments to understand existing workflows, business processes, pain points, data structures, and institutional knowledge. This understanding will serve as the foundation for developing practical, scalable, and sustainable AI solutions.

The role combines business analysis, data analytics, AI implementation, process improvement, and stakeholder engagement. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with both technical and non-technical teams and can translate business needs into practical technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with teams across procurement, logistics, distribution, finance, analytics, and other business functions to understand workflows, processes, pain points, and business requirements.
• Capture and organize institutional and domain knowledge, including data schemas, SQL queries, business rules, workflows, and operational logic, into well-documented and AI-ready knowledge resources.
• Identify opportunities to apply AI, automation, analytics, and emerging technologies to improve productivity, reduce costs, enhance forecasting, and support better decision-making.
• Design and implement AI-driven solutions as scalable, maintainable processes rather than one-time solutions or isolated experiments.
• Evaluate AI tools, platforms, technologies, and emerging capabilities and assess their potential application across business functions.
• Stay current on developments in AI, automation, agentic workflows, AI-enabled development tools, and related technologies beyond mainstream conversational AI platforms.
• Partner with business users who have ideas for AI applications but may lack the technical expertise to implement them.
• Mentor and train business users on AI tools, automation techniques, prompt development, responsible AI practices, and implementation best practices.
• Conduct hands-on training sessions, workshops, and demonstrations to help teams independently adopt and use AI-enabled solutions.
• Analyze operational and business data to identify opportunities for automation, forecasting, optimization, and cost reduction.
• Ensure business objectives, assumptions, variables, data sources, and desired outcomes are clearly understood before applying AI or advanced analytics to a problem.
• Build and maintain reports, dashboards, and other analytical tools to measure the performance, adoption, and business impact of AI-driven initiatives.
• Develop metrics and reporting frameworks to monitor project outcomes, efficiency gains, adoption, and return on investment.
• Prepare presentations, analyses, and project updates for leadership and other stakeholders.
• Support budget tracking, vendor coordination, project documentation, and administrative activities associated with AI initiatives.
• Provide day-to-day guidance and oversight to the Analyst, AI Integration and Operations Efficiency, including reviewing work, providing feedback, and supporting professional development.
• Promote responsible, secure, and practical use of AI across the organization.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, information systems, computer science, analytics, or a related field preferred.
• No specific AI degree is required. Demonstrated hands-on experience with AI technologies, automation, analytics, or technology implementation is highly valued.
• Minimum of two years of professional experience in data analysis, business analytics, AI/technology implementation, process improvement, or a related field.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience using AI beyond general conversational or chat-based applications.
• Experience with AI coding tools, integrations, connectors, automations, APIs, agentic workflows, or similar technologies is preferred.
• A GitHub repository, portfolio, or examples of completed AI/automation projects are a plus.
• Working knowledge of SQL, including the ability to understand relationships between tables, data models, and data warehouse structures.
• Proficiency with data visualization and business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Experience with Python is a plus.
• Strong business acumen and the ability to understand what a business process, metric, or workflow is intended to accomplish—not simply how it is technically implemented.
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish trust and collaborate effectively with stakeholders across multiple departments.
• Ability to ask effective questions, uncover how work is actually performed, and translate business processes into technical requirements or AI opportunities.
