Overview

Job Description: Our client is seeking a Business Data Analyst - AI to join their Digital Technology Team. The role involves agile delivery, AI-driven project execution, and technology-focused business partnership. Shapes, guides, and delivers large-scale AI initiatives while navigating traditional SDLC workflows. Hands-on experience bringing AI solutions from concept to production in a fast-paced digital environment.

Key Responsibilities

• AI Program & Project Leadership: lead business analysis for AI-enabled initiatives from ideation through discovery, model considerations, development, testing, and production implementation.
• Partner with data scientists and engineering teams to translate business opportunities into structured use cases, user stories, workflows, and acceptance criteria.
• Support operational readiness including model integration, monitoring, data validation, and performance reporting.
• Full SDLC & Agile Execution: navigate all phases of the SDLC—with and without AI components—ensuring requirements clarity, sprint alignment, quality assurance, and deployment readiness.
• Drive backlog creation and grooming and assist in sprint planning and iterative delivery in a high-velocity agile environment.
• Maintain reporting and project metrics to track progress, dependencies, and business outcomes.
• Business & Stakeholder Engagement: work with business partners to shape concepts into functional and technical requirements; influence decisions on AI tools, data assets, and capabilities; present ideas and feasibility to leadership; facilitate workshops and demonstrations for alignment.
• Data, Analytics & Technical Familiarity: use SQL, SAP, AWS (Redshift, Bedrock), Google Analytics to identify source data, validate data requirements, and support analytics needs for AI and traditional digital projects; collaborate with technical teams to ensure data readiness and proper integration.
• Emerging Tech & Vibe Coding: apply vibe coding to prototype and validate concepts; mentor the team on best practices; stay current on AI capabilities and platform advancements.

Qualifications

Required:

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst within digital, technology, AI/ML, or data-focused teams.
• Proven experience leading or supporting large-scale AI projects through full life cycle into production.
• Strong understanding of AI-enhanced SDLC and standard SDLC/agile practices.
• Demonstrated success with high-velocity technology teams in fast-paced digital environments.
• Strong communication and facilitation skills, translating complex concepts into actionable business requirements.
• Experience engaging business partners, influencing decisions, and presenting technical ideas clearly.
• Working familiarity with SQL, SAP, AWS (Redshift, Bedrock), and Google Analytics.
• Hands-on experience developing or collaborating on vibe-coded applications.

Preferred:

• Experience supporting solutions involving LLMs, RAG workflows, MCP, automation, or machine learning models.
• Background with cloud data platforms, digital ecosystems, and modern architectural patterns.
• Experience in digital strategy, innovation, or analytics-driven product development.
• Experience with prompt engineering for LLM-driven or generative AI solutions.

Rate

$55-$60/hour (depends on experience level). This is a contract position with candidates expected to work 40 hours/week.
