Job summary

Robinhood is seeking a Senior Specialist, Model Validation & Analytics to validate, test, and tune transaction monitoring and filtering programs within the Financial Crimes team. Expect close collaboration with AML Surveillance, data engineers, and cross-functional partners to ensure robust, compliant models.

The role is based in multiple U.S. offices (Denver, NY, Westlake) with in-person attendance required at least 3 days per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a quantitative, technical, or financial field.
• 5+ years in AML/Financial Crimes or risk management with model validation focus.
• 3+ years validating AML rule-based systems or ML models with governance knowledge.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python/R for data analysis and model evaluation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to explain complex concepts.

Responsibilities

• Model Validation & Review Execution: analyze surveillance models, data integrity, and change management.
• Technical Review & Remediation: collaborate with engineers to assess model implementations and data pipelines.
• Optimization & Model Tuning: calibrate models and reduce false positives.
• Data Integrity Assurance: validate data pipelines feeding compliance models.
• Subject Matter Expertise: provide AML/MRM insights to partners.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: work with engineering, product, and compliance teams.
• Change & Issue Management: maintain traceability and documentation.
• AI Strategy & Tech-Forward Adoption: leverage AI tools and LLMs to boost productivity.
• Documentation & Reporting: write validation reports and executive summaries.
