Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Senior Specialist, Model Validation & Analytics to join our Financial Crimes team. You will validate, test, tune, and optimize transaction monitoring and filtering programs across AML, collaborating with AML Surveillance, engineering, and cross‑functional partners to meet regulatory requirements.

The role is based in Denver, CO; New York, NY; or Westlake, TX with in‑person attendance at least 3 days per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a quantitative, technical, or financial field.
• 5+ years in AML, Financial Crimes, or risk management.
• 3+ years in AML rule-based systems and/or ML model validation.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python/R for data analysis.
• Ability to explain complex concepts and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Model Validation & Review Execution: analyze rule-based and ML surveillance models, filtering systems, and detection logic for design soundness and data integrity.
• Technical Review & Remediation: collaborate with software/data engineers to evaluate implementations and test data pipelines.
• Optimization & Model Tuning: calibrate surveillance models to maximize detection and reduce false positives.
• Logic & Data Integrity Assurance: validate data quality and end-to-end reliability of data pipelines.
• Subject Matter Expertise: provide AML and Model Risk insights to cross-functional partners.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: partner with engineering, product, and compliance teams.
• Change & Issue Management: maintain traceability and documentation for audits/regulators.
• AI Strategy & Tech-Forward Adoption: leverage AI tools and automation to improve productivity.
• Documentation & Reporting: produce validation reports and executive summaries.
