Job summary

Banner Health seeks a Senior Ambulatory Pharmacy Technician to support clinics and community pharmacies from a remote home office. You will process prescription renewals, screen patient charts, and assist patients via calls, using Cerner, Genesys, and Microsoft applications.

The role emphasizes strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, with guidance from pharmacists and staff. WFH setup, varied shifts, potential weekend coverage, and incentive pay available.

Qualifications

• Requires Pharmacy Technician licensure and active Pharmacy Technician in the state of practice.
• Arizona technicians must provide the AZ Board wallet card at time of hire.
• Two or more years of ambulatory pharmacy experience or knowledge of ambulatory pharmacy.
• Good organizational, problem solving and computer skills.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Moderate experience, typically gained through 2-4 years relevant work experience OR 12–18 months in an educational program.
• Knowledge of computer software, particularly Microsoft applications.

Responsibilities

• Processing prescription renewal requests received via electronic messages, faxes or phone calls.
• Maintains knowledge of clinical techniques, software applications, and department resources.
• Responds to standard requests from internal and external customers and interacts with staff and physicians.
• Uses discretion to prioritize tasks and make independent decisions based on workflow.
• Position may require clerical duties not needing a pharmacist license, as assigned.
