Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a Senior Ambulatory Pharmacy Technician for a 100% remote role. You will work closely with Pharmacists and clinic staff to process prescription renewals, screen patient charts, and handle patient refill requests via calls and electronic messages.

Availability Monday through Sunday is required, with possible Saturday rotation and holiday coverage. The role emphasizes ambulatory pharmacy experience, strong communication, and proficiency with Microsoft applications, Cerner,

Qualifications

• Requires Pharmacy Technician licensure and active Pharmacy Technician in the state of practice.
• Must have two or more years of ambulatory pharmacy experience or demonstrate knowledge of ambulatory pharmacy.
• Must possess good organizational, problem solving and computer skills.
• Moderate experience, typically gained through 2-4 years relevant work experience or 12-18 months in an educational program.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.

Responsibilities

• Process prescription renewal requests received via electronic messages, faxes or phone calls.
• Collaborate with pharmacists, providers and staff to ensure efficient workflow.
• Filter out refill requests not supported by the program and screen patient charts for relevant information.
• Answer patient calls to process refill requests and provide guidance.
• Perform clerical or administrative duties as assigned.
