Job summary

Serco is seeking an experienced Senior Additive Manufacturing Engineer to support PMS450 and Team Submarine in the Washington, DC area. You will lead design, development, and testing of all facets of the additive process, with emphasis on machines, software, part design, and analysis.

The role demands strong technical and analytical skills, the ability to work independently or in a team, and the capability to brief senior program officials. A DoW Secret clearance is required for this position.

Qualifications

  • Active DoW Secret security clearance required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
  • 10 years minimum in propulsion component design or metallic additive technologies.
  • Excellent communications and analytical skills; capable of briefing senior leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support design, development, and testing of additive processes, including powder-bed and powder-fed approaches.
  • Provide AM engineering consulting and participate in technical reviews.
  • Evaluate production design data, prepare and test AM engineering changes, assess manufacturability.
  • Recommend strategies for migration, schedule risk, and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Travel up to 10% as needed.
