Job summary

Brooks Brothers in Chevy Chase, MD is seeking a Fitter/Tailor in our Alterations department to provide expert alterations and fabric knowledge to customers, delivering quality garments with exemplary service. The role reports to the Store Manager and supports brand standards.

You will sew, measure, hem, and fit garments using approved methods, maintain productivity, and work with the store team to ensure a seamless flow. Flexibility for days, nights, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in tailoring.
• Knowledge of clothing and shirt construction and fabrics.
• Retail or custom clothing sales experience.
• Scheduling flexibility to include days, nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Sew, measure, hem, and fit garments to meet customer needs.
• Utilize Brooks Brothers systems to meet productivity goals.
• Provide highest level of quality and customer service within established call dates.
• Repair or replace defective garment parts such as pockets, zippers, buttons, and linings.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, neat, and organized store environment.
• Work with store team to ensure seamless workflow.
