Job summary

Brooks Brothers in Charleston is seeking a Fitter/Tailor in our Alterations department to deliver expert alterations and fabric expertise with outstanding service. You will sew, measure, hem, fit garments, and ensure quality results while representing the Brooks Brothers brand and maintaining a clean, organized store environment.

Ability to lift 5-10 pounds applies. Experience in tailoring and knowledge of clothing construction, fabrics, and a retail setting will help you succeed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' tailoring experience.
• Knowledge of clothing construction and fabrics.
• Retail environment or custom clothing sales experience.
• Scheduling flexibility to include days, nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Achieve personal productivity and assist in meeting Brooks Brothers productivity goals.
• Sew, measure, hem, and fit garments to meet customer needs using approved methods.
• Utilize Brooks Brothers systems to meet productivity goals.
• Provide highest level of quality and customer service within call dates.
• Repair or replace defective garment parts such as pockets, zippers, buttons, and linings.
• Demonstrate and comply with company policies and associate handbook.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, neat, and organized store environment.
• Work with store team to ensure seamless workflow.
• Represent the brand as an ambassador, adhering to code of conduct and service expectations.
