Job summary

RTX is seeking a Structures engineer in Asheville, NC to analyze and design airfoil hardware using FEMs and analytical methods. You will contribute to a cross-disciplinary team, validate structural integrity, and write technical reports for internal and external customers.

Qualifications

• BS in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
• 5+ years in engineering or aerospace, or 3+ years with an advanced degree.
• Experience with analytical methods including FEA, hand calculations, and spreadsheets.
• Experience analyzing strength, stress, deflection, vibration, fatigue life, and damage tolerance.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and design next-generation airfoil hardware with FEMs and living analyses.
• Write technical reports and communicate progress to program groups and customers.
• Support multidisciplinary teams and contribute to Structures discipline health.
