Job summary

RTX, a leading aerospace and defense company, seeks a Structures Analyst for the Compression Systems Engineering team in East Hartford, CT. The role focuses on structural analysis across design phases and collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams.

You will perform Finite Element Analysis with Ansys and Simcenter, lead structural assessments, and help deliver cost-efficient, reliable products for commercial and military engines.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with 5+ years of engineering experience or advanced degree with 3+ years
• Proficiency in Teamcenter/Simcenter and Ansys
• Experience in static hardware structural assessments
• U.S. citizenship is required

Responsibilities

• Provide structures support across all phases of the design cycle (concept to service)
• Conduct and lead structures analysis to ensure cost efficiency, manufacturability and reliability
• Identify and correct structural issues to ensure project completion
• Assist with new products and processes and improve existing products
• Perform Finite Element Analysis with Ansys and Teamcenter Simcenter
• Collaborate with other CIPT disciplines (Design, Heat Transfer, Structures, Aero)
