Job summary

RTX, the world’s largest aerospace and defense company, is seeking a Product Manufacturing Engineer for Pratt & Whitney in Asheville, NC. You will own the sequence of operations for assigned parts, drive work instruction completion, and coordinate approval documentation.

You will organize PPAP/MRL development, track Product Quality/Cost, lead capital start-up for ramp schedules, and partner with Engineering and ME to resolve production issues while upholding safety and ethics standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Materials Science, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience.
• OR an Advanced Degree, with a minimum of 3 years’ related work expereince
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Responsibilities

• Own the sequence of operations for assigned parts and drive completion of work instructions.
• Organize and Lead PPAP/MRL development on assigned hardware; track Product Quality/Cost and identify improvements.
• Organize and Lead the capital start up in support of ramp schedules.
• Own the Integrate Master Schedule for assigned parts and manage communication with support groups and ME.
• Be the face of Manufacturing in discussions with Engineering on production related issues.
• Provide technical help to Suppliers of part details, durable/perishable tools and consumables.
• Lead with CORE, promote principles and contribute to achieving/maintaining goals as a team; ensure safety culture and EH&S compliance.
• Promote corporate code of ethical standards and company policies; maintain high level of collaboration.
• Perform any other duties deemed necessary by Management.
