Job summary

Amentum is seeking an experienced Aircraft Mechanic III for Edwards AFB. The role performs inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting on assigned aircraft, adhering to Technical Orders, GOPs/SOPs, Air Force Instructions, and site directives.

You will work with other mechanics and reps to diagnose complex problems and coordinate maintenance activities with the customer. The position requires deep knowledge of airframe, engine, and electrical systems, with emphasis on safety, compliance, and

Qualifications

• Minimum ten years of heavy aircraft maintenance or flightline ops.
• FAA A&P license preferred.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance manuals and technical data.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot and service aircraft systems and structures.
• Coordinate with QA and government inspections and ensure on-site presence for IPIs/MGIs.
• Oversee aircraft jacking, lifting, and towing operations.
• Maintain accurate parts inventory and documentation.
• Support OJT and training for mechanics/technicians.
