Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic III for Edwards in California. You will perform inspection, maintenance and troubleshooting on assigned aircraft, adhering to Technical Orders, SOPs and directives.

Coordinate with teammates to diagnose complex issues, apply flight-worthiness standards and sign off inspections. Responsibilities include planning maintenance, managing parts inventory, overseeing jacking, towing, and ensuring IPIs/MGIs with government oversight.

Qualifications

• Minimum twelve years in aircraft maintenance operations.
• Experience with KC-46 aircraft preferred.
• FAA regulations and maintenance manuals knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Technical Orders, GOPs/SOPs and directives.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose complex maintenance problems with other mechanics.
• Plan and schedule maintenance activity with operational customers.
• Inspect aircraft structures, systems, and components.
• Oversee aircraft jacking, lifting, and towing operations.
• Perform end-of-runway, post-flight, preflight and phase inspections.
