Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic III to support highly sensitive HQ USAF operations and safe air transport for Cabinet Members and dignitaries. Work includes routine and complex maintenance, component repair, and inspections across airframes, engines, and related systems.

The role requires FAA A&P certification, the ability to read blueprints and manuals, and the capacity to obtain a secret clearance. Shift flexibility and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• FAA A&P certificate is required.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, drawings and manuals.
• Must obtain and maintain secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance and repairs.
• Modify aircraft structures, engines, hydraulics, and related components.
• Inspect aircraft such as preflight, thru-flight, and post-flight checks.
• Operate ground support equipment and document actions in records.
• Maintain safety, housekeeping, and tool control at all times.
