Job summary

Amentum is seeking a rotary-wing aircraft mechanic to support highly sensitive HQ USAF operational plans and ensure safe air transport for Cabinet Members and visiting dignitaries.

You will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, repairs to aircraft structures, and interpret manuals to troubleshoot complex systems. Inspections, aircrew assistance, and duty shifts will be required as part of a dynamic schedule.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Rotary-wing mechanics with FAA certifications or military training.
• 1+ year recent aircraft maintenance experience on H-60 or S-70, or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain secret clearance (US citizenship required).
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Support HQ USAF plans and safe air transport for dignitaries.
• Perform scheduled/unscheduled maintenance and repairs on aircraft.
• Inspect aircraft and assist aircrew in flight preparation.
• Launch and recover aircraft; operate ground support equipment.
• Document maintenance in MIS and maintain aircraft appearance and safety.
