Job summary

Amentum is seeking a rotary-wing mechanic to support HQ USAF operational plans and secure air transportation for high-level personnel. You will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on H-60/S-70 aircraft, repair structures, and troubleshoot complex systems while ensuring safety and compliance.

Responsibilities include inspections from preflight to post-flight, assisting aircrew, recording MIS entries, and operating ground support equipment.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of recent maintenance on H-60 or S-70 aircraft
• FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification or FCC license
• U.S. military aviation maintenance training with 1+ year recent experience maintaining U.S. military aircraft
• Ability to read schematics, diagrams, and technical publications
• Ability to obtain and maintain secret clearance and flightline driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance on HQ USAF aircraft
• Repair and modify aircraft structures and components
• Troubleshoot airframe and powerplant systems using manuals
• Inspect aircraft (preflight to post-flight) and assist aircrew for flight
• Annotate maintenance actions in MIS and maintain records
• Operate ground support equipment and perform aircraft ground movement
• Uphold safety, housekeeping, tool control and security requirements
• Work various shifts as needed
