Job summary

Amentum is seeking a rotary-wing mechanic to support highly sensitive HQ USAF operational plans and safe air transport for Cabinet Members and senior leaders. Duties include maintenance, repairs, inspections, and flight preparation for rotorcraft, with attention to safety and fleet readiness.

Qualified candidates will have FAA/ military training, experience on H-60 or S-70, and the ability to interpret technical documentation. Security clearance and a flightline driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Rotary-wing mechanics must have verifiable qualifications from an FAA-certified institute or military aircraft maintenance training courses.
• At least one year of recent maintenance on H-60 or S-70 aircraft.
• FAA Airframe and Power Plant certificate or FCC license.
• Ability to read, interpret, and comprehend schematics, drawings, charts, and technical publications.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance and flightline driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, repairs, and modifications on rotorcraft and related components.
• Assist aircrew in flight preparation and conduct preflight/through-flight/post-flight inspections.
• Annotate maintenance actions in aircraft records and MIS entries; ensure safety and housekeeping.
• Operate ground support equipment and manage safe ground movement of aircraft.
