Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic II (Fuel System) to support the Back Shop (Fuel Shop) with hands-on maintenance of aircraft fuel systems. The role requires diagnosing, repairing, and modifying fuel components, draining and purging fuel, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Candidates must hold an FAA Airframe Certificate/License, be able to obtain a secret clearance, and adapt to day, second, third shifts, or weekends. Travel/TDY may be required.

Qualifications

  • Strong working knowledge of fuel systems maintenance procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret data from maintenance docs and systems.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, overhaul and modify fuel systems.
  • Drain fuel from tanks and cells; perform purge operations.
  • Install, remove, reassemble components and inspect fuel cells.
