Job summary

GE Aerospace’s Defense Engines & Services organization seeks a Controls Systems Engineer to design, develop, validate and certify engine control strategies for military applications. You will work on integration of hardware and software to deliver robust, safe, and fuel-efficient propulsion solutions, supporting legacy and fielded products.

You will mentor engineers, document data, present results, manage suppliers, and collaborate across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field from an accredited university or college.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience related to Aircraft Engine Controls Systems and/or Software Engineering.
• This role requires the successful candidate to maintain a US Government Security Clearance; prerequisite for a security clearance is U.S. Citizenship.
• Preference will be given to candidates who currently hold US Government Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Execute the design, development, and test of advanced Controls Systems technologies to meet business standards and program / product requirements.
• Work closely with supporting and enabling organizations to deliver a seamless, well-integrated solution.
• Provide technical leadership on the assigned project.
• Document and communicate results of technical data generated.
• Share engineering information and promote open dialogue.
• Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews.
