Job summary

Gogo is seeking a Senior Airborne Platform Software Engineer to design, develop, and test production‑quality software for airborne products on a Linux platform, including Next Generation 5G Air to Ground solutions. You will collaborate with an experienced team to integrate with other groups, create design documentation, review code, and develop automated tests.

You will work on features for new products, extend existing software components, and contribute to the build environment and repository

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 7–12 years of software development experience, preferably in Linux or embedded systems.
• Strong knowledge of Linux networking, including routing, iptables, DHCP, and DNS.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop software features for new products or extend existing ones.
• Create high and low‑level design documentation and conduct design reviews.
• Assist in automated unit tests and test process improvements.
• Provide estimates, track stories/tasks, and ensure on‑time delivery.
• Contribute to the software build environment and source control practices.
• Continue refining development and testing processes and integrate open source packages.

We will be accepting applications through October 25, 2026 or until filled.- - -As a Gogo Senior Airborne Platform Software Engineer you will be responsible for designing, developing and testing production quality software for Gogo airborne products on a Linux platform. You will develop new features, enhance existing software components, and test feature functionality on both existing products and our Next Generation 5G Air to Ground solution.
