Job summary

WSP USA is seeking an experienced Air Quality Project Manager to lead nationwide air quality permitting, compliance, and modeling efforts for industrial and energy clients. The role requires senior technical oversight, client relationship leadership, and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in air quality, PSD/NSR/Title V experience, and proficiency with AERMOD/CALPUFF, with the ability to mentor staff and drive business development across multiple U.S. offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 10+ years of air quality permitting, dispersion modeling, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience managing complex projects with scope, schedule, budget, and profitability.
• Advanced experience with PSD, NSR, Title V permitting and emissions inventories.
• Proven capability with AERMOD and other regulatory modeling platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex air quality permitting, compliance, and modeling projects for industrial and energy clients nationwide.
• Manage project delivery including scope, budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, and quality assurance.
• Serve as a senior technical reviewer for air quality analyses, emissions inventories, and permit applications.
• Provide guidance on NSR, PSD, Title V and regulatory requirements.
• Act as primary client relationship manager for key accounts and long-term partnerships.
• Lead business development, client engagement, and proposals to expand relationships.
• Mentor and develop junior staff and coordinate multidisciplinary teams across lines.
