Job summary

ERM is hiring a Senior Consultant, Air Quality Compliance Engineer or Scientist in Irvine, CA or Scottsdale, AZ. You will drive air quality compliance strategies for diverse clients, interfacing with regulators and building long‑term client partnerships.

Role demands 3+ years of experience, a bachelor’s degree in engineering or environmental science, and strong MS Office skills. Travel to client sites will be required in a fast-paced consulting environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (chemical, environmental, civil or mechanical) or environmental science.
• 3+ years of relevant air quality compliance experience.
• Working knowledge of Title V and RECLAIM facilities and local air districts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare emission inventories, permit applications, and compliance reports.
• Conduct regulatory applicability evaluations and implement compliance management systems.
• Perform fieldwork, including air compliance assessments and multi‑media inspections.
• Liaise with regulators and clients to ensure timely permit approvals.
• Promote a culture of safety, collaboration, and excellence across projects.
