Job summary

Axon Enterprise is seeking a senior firmware/embedded engineer to lead AIoT firmware development across SoC/SoM platforms and related RF systems. You will work on firmware for Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, LTE/5G, and battery management while mentoring peers and shaping AI-assisted workflows.

Responsibilities include hardware bring‑up, tests, design docs, and collaboration with SoC vendors; 4‑day office presence in Seattle or Scottsdale is expected as part of a hybrid model.

Qualifications

• BS in a relevant field and 8–14 years of firmware/embedded experience.
• Proficient in C, C++, Rust, Go, and/or Python.
• Experience with Kernel and User-space Embedded Linux and BSP packaging (BSP).
• Experience with Embedded Android Kernel and User-space (AOSP).
• Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants in real codebases.
• Strong understanding of OS, concurrency, and networking concepts.

Responsibilities

• Firmware Design and Development of AIoT infrastructure for multiple programs.
• Develop Firmware for SoCs/SoMs and microcontrollers.
• Develop Firmware for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Sub-GHz, LTE/5G and RF tech.
• Develop Manufacturing Provisioning and Calibration tooling.
• Create unit/integration tests and ATS coverage.
• Collaborate with SoC vendors to optimize AIoT use-cases.
• Support hardware bring-up and debugging; review design docs and PRs.
• Mentor engineers on AI-assisted firmware development.
