Job summary

General Motors is seeking an experienced software engineer to lead end-to-end AI-driven transformation of business workflows. You will design secure, reusable enterprise-grade AI solutions and collaborate across engineering, product, and business teams to scale AI adoption.

You will build backend services in Python/Node.js, deploy on Google Cloud, and implement HITL validation, governance, and robust security across enterprise systems.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering, platform architecture, or enterprise workflow automation.
• Experience leading or contributing to GCP-based transformations.
• Strong track record modernizing legacy workflows into API-driven, event-based apps.
• Experience designing AI agents or bot-driven workflows with Vertex AI, Gemini, or external LLMs.

Responsibilities

• Write backend services and integrations using Python and/or Node.js/TypeScript.
• Build cloud-native, event-driven services on GCP (Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Functions).
• Code data pipelines migrating legacy workflows into native GCP environments.
• Implement security with IAM, OAuth2, service accounts and access controls.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
