Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Lead AI Workflow Engineer – Enterprise Transformation to design, build, and scale AI-enabled workflow solutions that modernize how work gets done. You will work across Google Workspace, enterprise platforms, and AI-enabled environments to reduce manual effort and improve consistency.

The role partners with product, engineering, security, and business stakeholders to turn high-value processes into scalable, reusable automations that align with GM standards.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in workflow engineering, automation engineering, software engineering, platform engineering, or enterprise automation within a complex corporate environment.
• Proven experience redesigning and automating complex business processes across multiple systems.
• Experience modernizing legacy workflows into scalable, API-driven or event-based automation solutions.
• Experience supporting enterprise platform change and transformation initiatives in large organizations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and support AI-enabled workflow and automation solutions across collaboration platforms and enterprise systems.
• Develop secure backend services, scripts, integrations, and orchestration logic using Python and/or JavaScript frameworks.
• Build and support event-driven services and workflow components using approved cloud-native patterns.
• Integrate workflow solutions with IT service management, HR, CRM, document platforms, and internal APIs.
• Translate manual or legacy processes into scalable, reusable automation designs.
• Collaborate with product teams, security, TPMs, and business stakeholders to deliver practical solutions.
