Job summary

Thomson Reuters is seeking a Senior UX Designer to shape AI-powered experiences across our product ecosystem. You will collaborate with product, engineering, and data science to translate complex AI capabilities into intuitive, trustworthy workflows.

You will design interaction patterns, prototype with AI models, and ensure accessibility and responsible AI practices while guiding teams through evolving problem spaces.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional product design experience with end-to-end ownership of complex workflows.
• Experience designing with AI/LLM technologies, including prompt design and evaluating model output quality.
• Strong interaction design skills to simplify AI behaviors into user-centered experiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design of AI-powered features, including agentic workflows and human-in-the-loop systems.
• Translate model behaviors and data inputs into cohesive UX patterns that drive trust and adoption.
• Prototype with real AI/LLM models to evaluate prompts and inform product direction.
• Design collaboration patterns between users and AI, including handoffs and override options.
• Create clear interaction flows with transparency moments, safety guardrails, and recovery states.
• Partner with data science and engineering to shape model requirements and align with user needs.
• Conduct usability tests and AI-specific validation studies to understand user mental models and trust.
• Contribute to internal design standards for AI patterns and evaluation criteria.
