Job summary

Thomson Reuters is seeking a Principal Software Engineer / Architect – AI to lead highly complex customer engagements, architect scalable AI solutions, and contribute production code across enterprise environments.

This hands-on role requires deep technical leadership, experience with AI/ML in production, and the ability to translate customer needs into reusable product capabilities, working closely with product teams and customers in a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience with leadership at principal/architect level.
• Deep experience designing and delivering complex production software systems.
• Hands-on coding and code-review experience in production environments.
• Significant AI/ML or LLM experience in production environments.
• Experience integrating AI solutions with enterprise or customer-owned infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead highly complex technical and customer engagements from discovery to production.
• Architect, build, and deploy production AI solutions for enterprise environments.
• Write production code and review work of senior engineers.
• Provide technical direction across AI, architecture, integration, security, and deployment decisions.
• Collaborate with customers to understand environments, constraints, and business needs.
• Translate customer learnings into scalable product capabilities with product teams.
