Job summary

Thomson Reuters is seeking a Senior UX Product Designer to shape AI-powered experiences across our product ecosystem. You will translate complex AI capabilities into intuitive workflows, collaborating with product management, engineering, and data science to deliver trustworthy, high-impact designs.

You will prototype with AI models, design with human-in-the-loop and transparency in mind, and contribute to design standards for AI patterns and prompts while advocating responsible AI practices.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional product design experience with end-to-end ownership of complex AI-enabled workflows.
• Experience designing with AI/LLM technologies including prompt design and evaluating model output quality.
• Strong interaction design skills to translate AI behaviors into user-centered experiences.
• Familiarity with model behaviors and limitations (hallucinations, confidence levels, deterministic vs probabilistic outputs).
• Ability to prototype using tools like Figma, notebooks, model sandboxes, or no-code AI orchestration tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design of AI-powered features and agentic workflows.
• Translate model behaviors and data inputs into coherent UX patterns that build trust.
• Prototype with real AI/LLM models to evaluate prompts and inform product direction.
• Design collaboration patterns for human-in-the-loop interactions and AI autonomy transitions.
• Create interaction flows with transparency, guardrails, override options, and recovery states.
• Collaborate with data science and engineering to align model requirements with user needs.
• Partner with UX Research to run usability testing and AI-specific validation studies.
• Use qualitative and quantitative data to evaluate AI features (prompts, hallucinations, trust).
• Contribute to internal design standards for AI patterns and evaluation criteria.
