Job summary

Thomson Reuters is seeking a Principal Software Engineer / Architect - AI to design, build, and deliver production AI solutions for complex customer environments. This highly technical, hands-on role requires contributing production code and guiding AI strategy across enterprise deployments.

You will lead customer engagements, mentor engineers, and translate customer learnings into scalable product capabilities, while collaborating with product and engineering teams in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

12+ years of software engineering with principal/architect level leadership.
Extensive experience delivering complex production AI systems.
Strong hands-on coding and ability to review production code.
Experience with AI/ML, Generative AI, or LLM-powered systems in production environments.
Experience architecting AI solutions that integrate with enterprise infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Lead complex technical and customer engagements from discovery through production delivery.
Architect, build, and deploy production AI solutions within customer environments.
Write production code regularly and review others' work at Senior/Staff levels.
Provide technical direction across AI, software architecture, integration, security, and deployment decisions.
Translate customer learnings into scalable product capabilities and mentor engineers.
