Job summary

Lam Research in the Global Products Group is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, and troubleshoot software tools that integrate AI with Lam’s semiconductor equipment. You will build architectures for LLM-powered business applications, and own end-to-end features from concept to production.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will prototype multi-step agentic pipelines, manage model integration, governance, and monitoring, and apply prompt engineering, evaluation

Qualifications

• 7+ years shipping production software end-to-end.
• Experience building AI agents and LLM-driven workflows.
• Practical AI systems experience with RAG, evals, monitoring.
• Familiarity with LLM orchestration patterns and frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement architectural solutions for integrating LLM technology into business applications.
• Develop complex multi-step agentic pipelines around open- and closed-source LLMs.
• Own infrastructure for model integration, routing, and evaluation.
• Build MCP Servers – ensure model governance, versioning, access control, and monitoring for production AI systems.
• Evaluate, prototype, and integrate the latest advancements in AI and agentic systems as they emerge.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including business leaders, engineers, architects, and designers to align AI systems with business objectives.
