UnitedHealth Group is seeking an AI Solutions Lead - Senior Consultant to design end-to-end AI solutions for healthcare provider clients, translating complex workflows into actionable, ROI-driven outcomes. The role blends advisory leadership with hands-on solution design and cross-functional collaboration.

You will help build an AI-first Provider Technology Consulting practice, work remotely from anywhere in the U.S., and sometimes be onsite in Minneapolis or Washington, D.C.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of healthcare operations experience documenting workflows.
• 3+ years of consulting or client-facing advisory experience.
• 3+ years of healthcare domain knowledge and system configuration.
• 2+ years applying AI, automation, or analytics capabilities to solve business problems.
• 2+ years demonstrating experience applying prioritization or scoring frameworks.
• Willing to travel up to 25% for business needs.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end AI solutions for provider clients and evaluate capabilities across EHR-native AI, enterprise tools, and agentic platforms.
• Document current-state workflows and define AI-enabled future-state with human oversight.
• Apply prioritization frameworks to identify high-impact AI use cases and create an actionable roadmap.
• Translate solution designs into implementation specs, gap analyses, and ROI metrics.
• Serve as a client-facing advisor, leading sessions and presenting to senior stakeholders.
• Collaborate with end users to design and enhance systems and identify optimization opportunities.
• Participate in implementation, upgrade, and enhancement projects.
• Develop and maintain training and enablement materials.
