Job summary

UnitedHealth Group seeks a Senior Manager of AI/ML Engineering within the UHC Operations and Experience technology team to lead a high-performing engineering group delivering enterprise AI/ML platforms. You will guide strategy, architecture, and governance while mentoring talent and aligning technology with business goals.

The role supports remote work from anywhere in the U.S., with in-office requirements in Minneapolis four days a week for certain locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive software/AI/ML engineering experience.
• 3+ years of people leadership or mentoring experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on AI/ML model or data pipeline experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary engineering team delivering AI/ML solutions.
• Define roadmaps and architectures with business and product stakeholders.
• Improve MLOps practices, CI/CD, testing, and model governance.
• Oversee SDLC and agile delivery across teams.
• Ensure compliance with data security and governance standards.
• Establish engineering KPIs and measure system performance.
