Job summary

UnitedHealth Group seeks a Senior Director, Provider AI Innovation and Strategy, to design, package, and commercialize AI solutions for the provider space. You will translate AI capabilities into market-ready offerings and collaborate with go-to-market, engineering, and operations teams to drive measurable client value and growth.

The role supports remote work from anywhere in the U.S.; in-office presence may be required for certain locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
• 12+ years of experience in product strategy, product management, corporate strategy, commercialization, innovation, consulting, or related leadership roles.
• 5+ years of experience leading AI, machine learning, analytics, or digital transformation initiatives from strategy through implementation.
• 5+ years with a top-tier management consulting firm (e.g., McKinsey, Bain, BCG, Deloitte, Accenture Strategy).
• 5+ years of experience developing enterprise growth, commercialization, or innovation strategies.
• 5+ years in provider-focused domains (clinical operations, patient access, care management, etc).
• 5+ years leading cross-functional teams across business, clinical, and tech.
• 3+ years structuring/executing external partnerships (alliances, licensing, JV).
• 3+ years evaluating emerging technologies and strategic investments.
• Demonstrated experience launching two or more AI-enabled healthcare products or solutions.
• Experience presenting business cases and strategic proposals to executives.

Responsibilities

• Define and manage the AI solutions portfolio and roadmap.
• Equip sales and delivery teams with compelling product narratives and references.
• Lead client-facing meetings and workshops to translate capabilities into measurable value.
• Prioritize research outputs and new capabilities into commercial offerings with partners.
• Develop pricing strategies and commercial guardrails with operations and finance.
• Build and manage external partnerships and ecosystem collaborations; address IP and compliance.
• Set and track KPIs for portfolio growth, profitability, and customer impact.
