Job summary

The Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond is seeking an experienced AI Solutions Engineer to design and operate enterprise AI/ML platforms across AWS. You will implement GenAI, RAG, and agentic AI pipelines, using Terraform for infrastructure, and develop automation across CI/CD, security, and observability.

You will collaborate across teams to deliver scalable AI capabilities, mentored by senior engineers and aligned with public sector standards.

Qualifications

• Progressive experience building GenAI, RAG, and Agentic AI solutions
• Proficiency with AWS Bedrock and related AI/ML services
• Strong programming in Python and Bash for automation and tooling
• Terraform experience for infra provisioning and state management
• Experience with EC2, S3, Lambda, VPC, IAM, RDS, Systems Manager
• CI/CD and deployment automation using GitLab pipelines
• React for frontend internal tools and dashboards
• Version control with Git
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and data modeling

Responsibilities

• AI Solution Architecture & Engineering: design AI/ML solutions on AWS Cloud; leverage Terraform, GenAI, RAG, and agent orchestration
• CI/CD & Automation: implement CI/CD pipelines with GitLab; automation scripts in Python/Bash
• Problem Resolution & System Reliability: troubleshoot AI infrastructure; improve reliability and performance
• Application Development & Integration: build interfaces with React; APIs for AI automation
• Project Leadership & Collaboration: lead moderately complex infra projects; mentor junior engineers
• Governance & Compliance: ensure security, privacy, and cost optimization; follow FRIT procedures
