Job summary

Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond is seeking an experienced AI Solutions Engineer to design and operate enterprise-scale AI/ML platforms. You'll work across GenAI, RAG, and agentic AI, leveraging Terraform, AWS Bedrock, and modern automation to support critical financial systems.

You'll build AI pipelines, implement CI/CD, and collaborate with an Agile team while mentoring engineers. This role emphasizes security, compliance, and scalable infrastructure in a national institution.

Qualifications

• Progressive experience building GenAI, RAG, and Agentic AI solutions.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Bedrock and related AI/ML services.
• Strong programming skills in Python and Bash for automation and tooling.
• Advanced proficiency with Terraform for cloud provisioning.
• Experience with core AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, VPC, IAM, RDS, Systems Manager).
• CI/CD and deployment automation using GitLab pipelines.
• Proficiency with React for internal tools frontend.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and data modeling.

Responsibilities

• AI Solution Architecture: design GenAI, RAG, and Agentic AI solutions across AWS.
• CI/CD: build pipelines for automated testing, deployment, and infra provisioning.
• Automation: develop Python/Bash scripts to streamline deployments and data pipelines.
• Application development: UI and API work using React and backend services.
• Project leadership: lead AI infra projects and mentor junior engineers.
• Governance: ensure security, compliance, and cost optimization in AI solutions.
