Job summary

CVS Health seeks a Solution Architect to lead the design, implementation, and deployment of cloud-native, AI-powered healthcare solutions in Austin, TX. This hands-on leader will collaborate with Product, Architecture, Engineering, Data, and Business teams to transform ideas into scalable, production-ready outcomes.

The role emphasizes AI/ML, cloud platforms (GCP/AWS), and healthcare domain knowledge, with opportunities to guide strategy, oversee implementation, and ensure successful deployment

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering and architecture roles (technical lead, solution architect, enterprise architect)
• 5+ years of full stack development experience
• 5+ years of SQL, NoSQL, MongoDB, Redis and related databases
• 5+ years in cloud platforms (GCP/AWS), microservices, and API design
• 3+ years hands-on experience with AI/ML or Generative AI technologies
• Experience with DevOps tools (Kubernetes, Jenkins, Docker, Git) and Kafka
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder expectations
• Strong understanding of healthcare workflows and business processes

Responsibilities

• Identify, Define, and execute end-to-end AI-enabled strategic solutions aligned with project objectives
• Lead and supervise architectural initiatives within assigned projects or areas
• Develop architectural designs and solutions, ensuring adherence to standards and best practices
• Mentor and guide junior and senior architects in project-related tasks and skill development
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver effective architectural solutions
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand needs and drive alignment with business and development teams
• Assess new technologies and methodologies to enhance processes and recommend adoption
• Lead architecture design reviews and drive modernization opportunities for Healthcare Unit
