Job summary

McKinsey & Company, Life Sciences AI, is seeking a senior software engineer to build agentic and full-stack applications for Pharma and MedTech. You will design, architect, and deliver production-ready tools integrated with QuantumBlack, AI by McKinsey, working with data owners and C-level stakeholders.

You will collaborate with global teams, write modular code, and apply best practices while exploring frontier AI and multi-agent orchestration. Office presence in North America is required.

Qualifications

• Degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience developing full-stack applications.
• Demonstrated experience building agentic applications and AI agents with SDKs or frameworks.
• Experience with cloud platforms and containers (AWS/Azure/Docker).
• Strong Python, API development, and front-end skills (React/Next.js).
• Knowledge graphs a plus; ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience in Agile teams and effective communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Design and build agentic and full-stack applications for Life Sciences use cases.
• Transform pilots into production-ready systems that scale and integrate.
• Deliver small to mid-sized agentic assets addressing client problems.
• Collaborate with distributed teams and clients across executives and data owners.
• Write high-quality modular code and assess feasibility of innovative solutions.
