Job summary

AMD is seeking a Lead System Validation Engineer - AI Rack Validation to drive system, rack, and cluster-scale validation for AI server platforms. You will own validation strategy, plan coverage, and collaborate with architecture, hardware, firmware, software, and platform teams to ensure product readiness and high quality.

The role requires leading investigations, mentoring engineers, and delivering scalable automation and telemetry-driven validation across complex hardware platforms.

Qualifications

• > Extensive experience in validation roles involving debugging OS, FW, Silicon, and HW issues.
• > Understanding of industry standard busses and their software stack, such as PCIe, CXL.
• > Strong knowledge of X86 architecture, SoC design, memory, RAS & power management.
• > Extensive knowledge of system architecture, validation strategy, and debugging methodologies.
• > Experience in technical program management and cross-functional influence.

Responsibilities

• > Lead system-level, rack-level, and cluster-scale validation strategy for AI/server platforms.
• > Define validation plans for deployment scenarios across scale-up/scale-out environments.
• > Develop validation methodologies spanning CPU, GPU, memory, BIOS, BMC, networking, and OS interactions.
• > Collaborate with architecture, hardware, firmware, software, and platform teams to close coverage gaps.
• > Lead root cause analysis of complex hardware/firmware/software/networking issues.
• > Drive decision-making to resolve risks and improve product quality.
• > Create scalable validation frameworks and telemetry-driven workflows.
• > Analyze large-scale data to identify failures and readiness concerns.
• > Establish readiness criteria and coverage strategies to improve efficiency.
• > Mentor engineers to improve validation methods and automation.
• > Manage cross-program execution, priorities, and risks.
• > Communicate status and risks to senior leadership.
• > Support customer-focused validation in real-world environments.
• > Drive continuous validation process improvements.
