Job summary

AMD seeks an experienced validation leader to drive system-level, rack-level, and cluster-scale validation for AI and ML server platforms. You will define strategies, lead cross-functional initiatives, and ensure product quality across hardware, firmware, software, and infrastructure.

You will mentor engineers, drive scalable validation frameworks, and use telemetry-driven workflows to identify risks and improve readiness for customer deployments in hyperscale environments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in system-level validation or related engineering disciplines.
• Experience validating large-scale server, AI, cloud, HPC, or data center platforms.
• Lead investigation and resolution of complex hardware, firmware, software, networking, and infrastructure issues.
• Experience validating scale-up and scale-out architectures (rack-scale, cluster-scale).
• Deep understanding of computer architecture and server platform design.
• Experience developing automated validation frameworks and large-scale test infrastructure.
• Strong Python and Linux proficiency; Bash/PowerShell knowledge.
• Telemetry, analytics, and data-driven methodologies for validation.
• Familiarity with AI/ML GPU computing in data center environments.
• Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and mentor engineers.
• Experience supporting product readiness and release qualification.
• Strong communication with executive and technical leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead validation strategy for AI and machine learning server platforms.
• Define validation plans across scale-up and scale-out environments.
• Develop validation methodologies spanning CPU, GPU, BIOS, BMC, networking, storage, OS, and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with architecture, hardware, firmware, software, and platform engineering teams to define requirements.
• Lead root cause analysis of complex issues across hardware, firmware, software, and networking.
• Drive validation frameworks, automation, telemetry, and data-driven methodologies.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across teams.
• Communicate readiness, metrics, and risks to senior leadership.
• Ensure test environments reflect real-world deployments and hyperscale conditions.
