Job summary

Samsara seeks an experienced security engineer at the intersection of security engineering and applied AI. You’ll be the AI-forward technologist on the Application Security team, using frontier AI models to strengthen and stress-test security. This remote US role excludes SF Bay, NYC, and DC metro areas.

You’ll assess AI-driven security risks, build AI-enabled tools, and work with engineering, hardware, and leadership to define Samsara’s AI security roadmap for years to come.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in application security, vulnerability management or threat modeling.
• Hands-on experience applying AI/LLM tools to security workflows.
• Experience assessing security across software and hardware/firmware.
• Experience creating secure code solutions with engineers (GoLang).

Responsibilities

• Define and deliver AI-enabled security assessments across software and firmware.
• Red-team and defensive tooling with frontier AI models.
• Collaborate with engineering, hardware, and leadership on AI security strategy.
• Translate AI security findings into Samsara-specific fixes for the security layer.
