Samsara is building a brand-new role at the intersection of security engineering and applied AI. This AI-forward technologist will strengthen our security posture across software, firmware, and hardware, applying frontier AI models to red-team and defensive testing.

The role is remote for candidates in the US, excluding the SF Bay Area, NYC, and DC metros. You will shape Samsara's AI security strategy and collaborate with leadership to advance global security across products and platforms.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in application security, vulnerability management, threat modeling, or related field.
• Hands-on experience applying AI/LLM tools to security workflows (APIs, agents, automation).
• Experience in security assessments across software and hardware/firmware environments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate security assessments of Samsara's software, code, and firmware against AI adversarial attacks.
• Translate AI security findings into Samsara-specific fixes for the application security layer.
• Build and pressure-test AI-enabled security tooling and drive adoption across security org.
• Partner with engineering, hardware, and leadership as go-to AI security expert.
• Help define Samsara's strategy for adopting AI safely within security operations.
• Use frontier AI/LLM tools hands-on for offensive and defensive capabilities.
