EY invites you to join Challenger, a program delivering AI security across EY services. You’ll partner with product and engineering teams to embed security across data, tools, and processes, turning threats into practical controls with measurable coverage and reusable patterns.

You’ll prove controls under adversarial conditions, design scalable patterns, and help teams respond when systems behave unexpectedly, advancing safe AI delivery.

Qualifications

• Security engineering depth: Foundations in app, cloud, platform, identity, data, and software delivery security.
• AI threat judgment: Model prompts, agents, tools, users, and external services attack paths.
• Control engineering: Translate threats into preventive, detective, and responsive measures.
• Adversarial mindset: Red teaming, reproducible testing, vulnerability analysis, detection, and incident learning.
• Automation capability: Build security tests, controls, telemetry, and reference components.

Responsibilities

• Set the security direction and reusable AI security patterns aligned to each use case.
• Join builders early to identify attack paths and shape controls that fit the product.
• Design scoped authority with practical patterns for identity, access, and recovery.
• Embed security across the data lifecycle, preserving confidentiality and integrity.
• Integrate automated tests, policy gates, artifacts, and safe rollback into workflows.
• Run focused red-team exercises against AI abuse cases and derive repeatable tests.
• Build runtime protection using evidence and signals to detect abnormal actions.
• Support vulnerability triage and incidents with clear evidence and recovery actions.
• Advise on residual risk with concise technical recommendations to owners.
• Create reference implementations and coach engineers to make security reusable.
