EY is a global professional services firm seeking an AI security leader to embed scalable controls across AI-powered data, tools, and processes. You will work with product and engineering teams to prove controls under adversarial conditions and develop reusable patterns for safer AI deployments.

The Challenger program builds shared technology, risk, and guardrails, turning production lessons into reusable components and accelerating safe AI adoption across EY’s services.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant security experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
• Substantial experience in product, application, cloud, platform, or detection security with hands-on ownership of production controls.
• Threat modeling: assess complex systems and translate attack paths into engineering measures.
• Production security: secure modern apps, cloud, identities, data, and delivery pipelines.
• AI systems knowledge: generative and agentic AI including retrieval, tool use, evaluation, and runtime behavior.
• Hands-on automation: build or extend security tests, controls, telemetry, or adversarial assessments.
• Cross-functional delivery: partner with engineers and risk functions to improve security while respecting user value.

Responsibilities

• Set the security direction with reusable AI security patterns, control objectives, and threat models.
• Join builders early to identify credible attack paths and shape controls.
• Design scoped authority for identity, access, isolation, approvals, and recovery.
• Embed security across the data lifecycle, preserving confidentiality and monitored access.
• Integrate automated security tests, policy gates, and trusted artifacts into workflows.
• Run red-team exercises against AI abuse cases and translate findings into tests and patterns.
• Build runtime protection using evidence and behavioral signals to detect anomalies.
• Support vulnerability triage and incidents with clear evidence and recovery actions.
• Advise on residual risk with concise technical recommendations for leaders.
• Create reference implementations and coach engineers to share reusable controls.
