EY is seeking a security-focused leader to help embed AI safety controls across data, tools, and processes. You’ll work with product and engineering teams to prove and scale tangible security patterns, with measurable coverage and reusable defenses.

The Challenger program emphasizes practical, evidence-based security while enabling rapid service development. This role requires collaboration, inventive testing, and a pragmatic approach to risk across multi-region environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of security experience across product, cloud, platform or detection security.
• Hands-on ownership of production security controls and modern applications.
• Threat modeling ability to turn attack paths into engineering measures.
• Experience securing cloud environments, identities, data and software delivery pipelines.
• Working knowledge of generative and agentic AI, including retrieval, tool use and runtime behavior.
• Hands-on automation building security tests, telemetry, or adversarial assessments.
• Cross-functional delivery partnering with engineers and risk teams.

Responsibilities

• Set the security direction with reusable AI security patterns and threat models.
• Join builders early to identify attack paths and shape controls.
• Design practical patterns for identity, access, isolation, approvals, and recovery.
• Embed security across the data lifecycle preserving confidentiality and provenance.
• Integrate automated security tests, policy gates, and trusted artifacts.
• Run red-team exercises and convert findings into repeatable tests and patterns.
• Build runtime protection using evidence and signals to detect abuse and exfiltration.
• Support vulnerability triage and incidents with evidence and recovery actions.
• Advise product and risk leaders with concise technical recommendations.
• Create reference implementations and coach engineers to reuse controls.
