Job summary

EY’s Challenger program seeks an AI security-focused professional to embed adaptive defense across data, tools, and processes. You’ll work with product and engineering teams to prove controls under adversarial conditions and replace one-off reviews with reusable patterns and measurable coverage.

With 5+ years in product, application, cloud, or detection security, you’ll translate threats into practical engineering measures, drive automation, and influence risk decisions.

Qualifications

• Security engineering foundations across application, cloud, platform, identity, data, and software delivery security.
• Ability to model prompts, retrieval, agents, tools, users, and external services to form attack paths.
• Translate threats into preventive, detective, and responsive measures for engineers to implement.
• Practical red teaming, reproducible testing, vulnerability analysis, detection, and incident learning.

Responsibilities

• Set the security direction. Own reusable AI security patterns, control objectives, reference architectures, and threat models aligned to risk.
• Join builders early. Identify credible attack paths and shape controls that fit the product and delivery model.
• Design scoped authority. Create practical patterns for identity, access, isolation, approvals, and recovery.
• Protect sensitive information. Embed security across the data lifecycle, preserving confidentiality and integrity.
• Secure the delivery path. Integrate automated security tests, policy gates, trusted artifacts, traceable changes, and safe rollback.
• Test adversarially. Run red-team exercises against AI-specific abuse cases and convert findings into repeatable tests.
• Build runtime protection. Use evidence and signals to detect abnormal actions, privilege misuse, and exfiltration attempts.
• Strengthen response. Provide clear evidence and containment options for incidents and recovery actions.
• Advise on residual risk. Offer concise technical recommendations while keeping risk-acceptance with accountable owners.
• Build shared capability. Create reference implementations and coach engineers to reuse controls.
